User Self-service

Before using the equipment at TSRI, you must first complete the relevant training courses and equipment operation training. Upon successful completion of the training, you will be qualified to operate the equipment independently.
(Note: If you go through MES System > Equipment Operation Training for operation, there will be no charge.)


Fee

  • Academia:User Self-service is charged 10% of the listed price.(Please refer to Price List.)
  • Industry:User Self-service is accessible only to academic users.


Application Procedures

Register as a member > Attend training courses > Complete Occupational Safety Training Course > Undergo equipment operation training and assessment > Apply for access card > Begin User Self-service


Training Course

  1. Qualifications required for manufacturuing technology equipment:
    • A copy of transcript for the TSRI’s full-transferred course
    • A copy of transcript for the TSRI’s half- transferred course & a copy of TSRI SM01-1 course certificate
    • Copies of TSRI SM01 and SM01-1 course certificates
  2. Qualifications required for high-frequency measuring equipment:
    • Electrical measurement (EX:IV,CV):The first qualification or a Certificate in TSRI HF01 course
    • Other high frequency measurement equipment:Copy of TSRI HF01 course certificate
  3. Qualifications required for analysis equipment:
    • Copy of TSRI NM01 course certificate

Equipment Operation Training and Assessment

  1. Log in to TSRI Membership System and finish the registration. If you are unable to find an experienced user in your university laboratory, you can inquire in person at our Customer Service Center to check for users who have successfully completed the training. TSRI is only responsible for training one student for each professor. Users who have passed the equipment operation training are obliged to train other students.
  2. Equipment Training Application Form: Please download from Equipment Assessment Form. (Please determine the equipment opening grade and fill out one form for each equipment.)
  3. Equipment Classification:
    (Before passing the assessment, access to the cleanroom is only allowed when accompanied by a cardholder or staff member from TSRI.)

Access Card Application and Instructions for Use

  1. Access Card Application:
    After passing the equipment operation assessment, go to Student Card Application download the Access Card Application Form, submit a card deposit of 300 TWD, and Please take the completed application form to the customer service center to obtain your card.
  2. Instructions for Use:
    • For User Self-service of the academia, you must be a project user authorized by the project investigate.
    • If you don't have a project, please have your advisor complete the professor identity verification.
    • The authorized user can be allowed to enter the equipment control area by access card.
    • Users who have passed the equipment operation assessment and have received their access cards can proceed to the Equipment Operation Reservation page to make reservations.
  3. Restrictions:
    • It is forbidden to operate the equipment that the applicant has not qualified for using it.
    • Borrowing or lending your access card to others for use is strictly prohibited.
    • When using the access card, everyone must swipe their card separately. It is prohibited for multiple people to enter or exit simultaneously with one card swipe, except for guided tours, training sessions, maintenance, equipment installation, and similar activities.
    • Unauthorized individuals who are not relevant to the laboratory's activities are strictly prohibited from entering the laboratory (if you intend to bring visitors, please apply in advance).
    • Individuals who have not completed Occupational Safety and Health Training are prohibited from entering the laboratory.
    • If your access privileges are revoked for any reason after passing the assessment, you must reapply and pass the assessment again.
    • If professors want to apply for access cards to enter the laboratory to use equipment, the application procedure is the same as the above.
    • If you have successfully reserved equipment but are unable to use it for any reason, please make sure to cancel your reservation online for the reserved time slot.

Access Card and Membership Confirmation

  1. In order to manage the use of access card and the accuracy of membership information, TSRI will conduct access card and membership confirmation after the start of each semester (around March and September). Please refer to the announcement.
  2. For any change of status, please re-fill user information form, and upload the file of senior project report or thesis to TSRI official website.


Returning the Access Card

Please submit the " Member Card Withdrawal Application " and ensure that you provide all the required information for card refund. The account name and bank account must be under the same person's name.Once you have completed the online information, the card refund process will be finalized, and the card deposit will be directly transferred to the bank account you have specified.
